Driver Safety This Halloween 

Here are some tips to help keep everyone safe on Halloween:

Motorists

·         Don’t pass stopped vehicles.  They may be dropping off children.

·         Park all mobile devices that might distract you from the road and unexpected children.

·         Use extra caution in neighborhoods and watch for all traffic signs and signals. Drive at least 5mph under the posted speed limit to ensure that every precaution is taken to avoid darting children crossing the streets.

·         Children in dark costumes will be harder to spot at night, so be on the lookout!

·         Trick or Treaters will not be focused on safety so it’s extremely important for motorists to pay extra attention to distracted pedestrians.

·         Use your headlights even during the daytime, always use your turn signals and don’t forget to use your hazard lights when traveling at lower speeds or for parking.
